Many of the owners of boats moored with TSL are enthusiastic members of the aptly named Tollesbury Mudclub. Since 1992 when the club came into being, it has tried to encourage boat owners to be more adventurous by sailing in company and to join in with both local trips and slightly longer cruises spanning several days. We also organise BBQs, a Laying Up Supper/Christmas dinner, an AGM with a speaker and a fish and chip supper, and occasionally things like distress flare demonstrations, RNLI and Coastguard station visits, trips to the Maritime Museum in Greenwich, and lots more. We don’t have a club house and we certainly don’t stand on ceremony, but we do have a very good full colour newsletter called The Mudclubber, which is produced about three times a year and includes events details, contributions and photos from members, and all sorts of other content.
If you sail out of Tollesbury and would like to see what the Mudclub is all about, why not come along to one of our events? The annual membership fee is currently just £15 and that covers your boat’s skipper and all of the crew. More details can be found on our club notice board which is on the toilet/shower building wall facing the TSL car park, or by making contact through the contact page of this web site. We look forward to meeting you!
