The weather is great and there’s a frantic push to get boats ready for the water. Take a look at Meryl and Rex — Meryl’s working hard with the sander, and Rex said that he’s working in a supervisory capacity!
NOTE: Make sure you’ve booked your launching dates with Doug, the lifting diary is getting busy.

The 2013 Season starts

Just a few words to keep you all up to speed – things are starting to get going after the winter break. Boats are already going back in the water ready for this year’s great summer I think! My health journey seems to be going in the right direction due to the best modern day treatments and I am so glad to be back!Doug & Digger 460We now have extra staff working with me two days a week in the shape of Tom Johnson. Tom has been around working with FACT for the past three years and now splits him time between TSL and FACT, it’s good to have him onboard – he’s a great all-rounder and a safe pair of hands. We also welcome some volunteers during the week, from a Colchester based group called GO4 Enterprises which helps young adults get back into the working world, I’m glad to have them around because we’ve done lots of site improvements.GO4_460

Welcome back Doug!

Doug returned to work at the beginning of June, after a nine month period of sick leave – we’re so pleased that the medical treatment has been so effective. He’s gradually increasing his hours to full time working, and for a while will still be assisted by Paul Blyth who has helped keep TSL running during Doug’s absence. It’s great to have you back Doug – we’ve missed you such a lot!

New Berths in Dudley’s Creek

This week saw the completion of two new yacht berths in “Dudley’s Creek”.
One has been let to a new customer, and the other has been taken by an
existing customer.

It was only few weeks ago that we identified a number of potential new sites for yacht berths — so it’s great that Paul Blyth, our temporary manager, and Ashley Hunwick, our new yard worker, have been able to compete the first new builds so quickly.

We also plan to renovate and improve a number of redundant yacht berths this
year so that we can welcome new customers to the saltings.

Welcome to TSL’s new website

It’s getting close to that time when boats get launched for the new season and, not to be left out, we’ve decided to launch our new website. We hope it will help to keep our customers informed and, of course, attract new ones. We welcome comments and ideas about the new website — we want it to serve existing customers, encourage new customers, and to inform those who are interested in our Tollesbury waterside, so do keep in contact.
